Brooklyn celebrates Spike Lee’s groundbreaking film on the block that bears its namesake.
On Sunday, Bed-Stuy’s Do The Right Thing Way between Lexington and Quincy hosted the 30th anniversary of Spike Lee’s seminal 1989 film.
The block party was free for the community and was held where most of the film was shot. Honorable guests present for the day of festivities included: Maxwell, Chuck D and Public Enemy, Reverend Al Sharpton, and most of the cast and crew of Do The Right Thing.
